Quasar builds and operates a small family of singular products.
We are a small technology company. We build a focused number of products, each one solving a single hard problem completely, each designed, built, and operated in-house. Today they span systematic trading, machine forecasting, and climate observation.
What we believe
Five principles for software that works.
Software should be singular.
A singular product does one job for one audience. It is small, opinionated about what it doesn’t do, and refuses to be a platform. We think that is simply what good software is.
We go where the problem is hard and specific.
Systematic trading. Probabilistic forecasting. Climate measurement. We are drawn to problems that are precise, quantitative, and unforgiving, where the software either works or it plainly does not.
We own everything we ship.
No outsourcing. No white-labeling. Every Quasar product is designed, built, operated, and supported by us. The team that ships it is the team that uses it on a customer call.
Craft is non-negotiable.
Design and engineering both. We invest in the typography, the spacing, the latency, the empty states. None of these are details. They are what separates software you tolerate from software you respect.
The right product is small.
We resist the natural pressure to add features, expand scope, eat adjacent markets. The right move for most software is to do less, better. We keep the ones that find their audience, and start over on the ones that don’t.
